The British Royal Air Force needed a durable case for protecting and transporting field antennas. Each composite antenna mast is 75 feet long when fully extended, and each antenna unit includes separate non-mast components.
Stone Legacy created a 15-inch tubular protective case with a very high strength-to-weight ratio. The inside features an impact-resistant barrier and a pocket design that minimizes content movement and rubbing. The outside is covered with 1,000-denier fabric reinforced by heavyweight polypro webbing in high-wear areas. Impact resistant shells open to allow easy loading and unloading from either end. Two platform feet enable the case to sit upright and stack during transportation. An optional wheel assembly makes the case easily maneuverable by one person.
The British Royal Air Force is currently using several hundred of Stone Legacy’s protective antenna cases in Afghanistan.
A manufacturer of ice fishing shelters asked us to develop an ice fishing case with a built-in seat. Timing was tight: The request came to us in March, field reps needed samples by April and the company had to have product by October.
Stone Legacy developed an initial prototype within one week. After two quick rounds of client modifications, we had a design for a fold-up case/chair that was sturdy yet compact. We provided samples to the company’s sales reps, then leveraged our manufacturing partnerships to manage costs. Final product delivery took place as required in October.
We matched our concept-design-production process to the client’s tight product development cycle. Sales reps had samples in hand for their April sales appointments, and the company received 4,500 case/chairs in time for the new ice fishing season.
Stone Legacy set about to design a fly rod case that was easier to use than other cases currently on the market.
Stone Legacy created a case with a flip-forward head design that allows easy access to a rod and reel set-up. Nylon tube lining and a padded reel compartment provide full protection for valuable fishing gear.
A fishing equipment manufacturer selected the case for exclusive production under their brand name. Now expanded into several sizes and options, our fly rod and reel case has been a successful product line for the company for more than 6 years.
